The George is a traditional local, with a lovely garden and heated smoking area, serving great beers and famous for it's live music.
Recent changes to the bar mean that we are now serving a large choice of real ales (many locally sourced), directly from the cask, along side
the largest choice of ciders in the area, with four sparkling draught and five sparkling still ciders on hand pumps, as well as three draught
and a choice of bottled lagers... and of course draught Guinness!
Free live music every Friday and Saturday night, featuring the best bands on the circuit continues alongside fortnightly Traditional
English Folk sessions and monthly Jazz sessions, occasional Sunday acoustic sessions, and anything else we can squeeze in!
The "games room" features a pool table with good clearance, dart board and touch screen quiz machine, and is located away from the main
bar, allowing both areas to maintain their own unique atmosphere.
The George is also known for it's community and charity support. We continue to be heavily involved in the much loved community event
The Woolley Festival, are top fundraisers for the local branch of MENCAP, and the focal point for the "Friends of Woolley", a community
group set up to support the welfare of our local conservation, as well as providing a space for various local groups and associations to
